Our Projects
We Work With Local Communities to Identify and Solve Their Toughest Challenges
Senegal's Sanitation Initiative
Senegal implemented the National Rural Sanitation Strategy (SNAR) for the period of 2014-2025. This strategy encourages collaboration among the Country, Regions, and NGOs. It guides stakeholders towards the development of the local private sector using innovative financing mechanisms instead of relying on subsidies.
Sanimarkets are shops run by entrepreneurs who sell, build, and install
low-cost latrines to improve access to sanitation in rural areas.
EcoThrive’s Senegal Project Goals
EcoThrive Initiatives’ microgrant program will contribute to improving the living conditions of the poor and underserved populations in the North (Louga) and Central (Diourbel) regions of Senegal by providing grants to entrepreneurs engaged in the sanitation sector so that they develop sustainable, self-funding businesses.

We want to make a lasting positive change around the world and ensure all of our projects support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals:

- Reduced Inequalities – SDG10
- Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – SDG9
- Partnership for the goals – SDG17
- End Poverty – SDG1
